Types of PCHAS Homes

Respite/Overnight Care
Provide relief care for PCHAS foster families on weekends or during vacation periods. Requires application, background check and annual training hours.

Foster and Foster-to-Adopt
Foster homes provide temporary care for children in Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TXFPS)  conservatorship. Each family, with the help of PCHAS, meets the basic needs of children including developmental, clothing, emotional, safety, social, health care, supervision, spiritual and educational. Foster-to-adopt homes provide all of these needs and a forever family for the child(ren).

Treatment Services
Provide care for children who require increased structure, support and supervision. Children receiving treatment services typically need additional aid with daily living skills. These children may be diagnosed with emotional disorders, mental retardation, autism or significant developmental delays.
