Happy Easter

You will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy.
John 16:20

Four-year-old Hana, was neglected and undernourished before finding care in a PCHAS Foster Home. Hana, based on the trauma of neglect, was fearful that she would not have food to eat. Her foster parents recognized her physical needs for food and safety, but they also knew that she needed their consistent and gentle reassurance in order to heal from trauma. In this video, they describe their loving approach to easing Hana’s fears.

On Easter morning, the despair of Jesus’ followers is transformed into joyous celebration of his presence. This transition from despair to joy is something that we promote in the lives of the children and families we serve. Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) is a Christ-centered ministry devoted to bringing hope and healing out of the darkest suffering. By supporting our ministry, you affirm Easter hope for children who have known deep pain.

Hana’s transformation over the last few months is astounding. She is receiving all the care, love and gentleness that she needs to be healthy and happy, but many other children are still suffering. We know that children like Hana deserve care and that is why  PCHAS has faithfully shared God’s love and hope with hurting children for the past 113 years. Please help us continue to transform the lives of children like Hana by keeping suffering children in your prayers and by supporting the ministry of PCHAS.

Your prayers and gifts will enable us to serve more children and families in the months and years ahead. In this season of joy and renewal, thank you for recognizing the critical importance of our work and for giving selflessly to care for children who suffer.

Thank you for praying for our children and families.  Thank you also for considering making a gift to PCHAS. You may make a gift online here: giving.pchas.org/Easter. We would not be able to do what we do without your support.
