PCHAS Dedicates Renovated Youth Center on the Itasca Campus

Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services’ Itasca Campus dedicated its renovated Youth Center Sunday, April 12.  The whole campus, staff, Home Parents, children, administrators and a special donor and their family all gathered to worship and dedicate the new facility which features a wide-screen projector television, couches, pool table, ping pong table, air hockey table, a craft room and a special game room. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator and a popcorn machine.

Each Group Home family brought a dish to share for the luncheon which followed the dedication. The service was led by Tom Anthony, PCHAS development officer, who preached on the hands of the donors, construction workers, house parents, children, the Lord Jesus and God. The group enjoyed many songs led by Home Parent Andrew Rogers, including, “He’s got the whole world in his hands.”

Dedication Prayer
Almighty God, now that we have dedicated this place to you, may we always feel your presence every time we enter through these doors. Let this center always be used in ways that will bring honor to your name. May each of us now consecrate ourselves today to building up your kingdom here on earth. Through Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
