Living Water Capital Campaign Receives Grant from First Presbyterian Church of HoustonThe First Presbyterian Church of Houston, a long-time supporter of Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) has made a generous donation to PCHAS’ Living Water Capital Campaign. The Living Water Capital Campaign was launched by PCHAS in June, 2013 to raise funds to build and operate a residential campus for struggling single mothers and their children.

The First Presbyterian Church of Houston’s donation will underwrite the cost of the campus’ beautiful courtyard. The courtyard’s walkways greet visitors and lead them to the campus’ fountain, its four duplexes and playground.

Pastors James Birchfield and Bill Heston announced that the church will name the courtyard the Fellowship Courtyard in honor of its Fellowship Sunday School Class. The Fellowship Sunday School Class, the church’s longest-running Sunday school class, was established in 1949. Over the years, it has invested a great deal of time and resources to a variety of ministries in Houston, and PCHAS has been a long-term recipient of its generosity.

Thank you First Presbyterian Church of Houston!
When completed, PCHAS’ Single Parent Family Program will house seven single parents and their families, along with an on-site case manager. Find out more about the Single Parent Family Program.
